General health and wellbeing
Massage is a great way to relieve stress and tension from tired aching muscles. It also promotes good circulation and is a good form of relaxation. The benefits of massage can have a wonderful effect, not just on the muscles themselves but on your whole sense of wellbeing.
SPORTS THERAPY / REMEDIAL MASSAGE
Sports/Remedial Massage is an aspect of complementary health care. It is the assessment of posture, movement, fitness and injuries and is aimed at helping all individuals improve their health, fitness and functional performance. It can help to prevent and treat injuries. It is not just for athletes but also for non-exercisers who can experience profound improvements in vitality and wellbeing.
Aromatherapy is the art of using essential oils to help restore balance in the body. It is a form of natural healing that is more than 8,000 years old. Essential oils through massage give a greater effect on both mind and body, leaving you feeling healthier, happier and more in control of every area of your life.
HOPI EAR CANDLING
Hopi Ear Candling is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the ears. The treatment is used to help with the gentle removal of excessive or compacted wax build up within the ears, irritation in the ears or sinuses, hearing difficulties, ringing and noises in the ear, the release of pressure from sinusitis, rhinitis, glue ear, colds and headaches or just for general stimulation or relaxation.
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient system of medicine known as Ayurveda, the world’s oldest Indian Healing system; it has been practised in India for thousands of years, with the massaging of the head. It focuses on the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and keeping the balance between these can maintain good health. Indian Head Massage has over the years been westernised to incorporate the parts of the body which can be susceptible to stress. The areas which are treated are the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, head and face. It is a very effective treatment for the relief of stress and tension with the client remaining seated and clothed during the treatment.
Reflexology is one of the most powerful natural therapies for counteracting the stress and tensions of modern life. It is deeply relaxing and helps to restore your body’s power to heal itself. Reflexology is completely safe and a non-invasive therapy that works by applying pressure to specific reflex points on the feet.
LaStone Therapy was originated in 1993 by Mary Nelson of the United States. It uses heated and chilled stones for work on the body, delivering the principles of geothermotherapy – the alternating of hot and cold. It reflects and aims to create balance and harmony on all levels. LaStone Therapy affects chemical, physical and spiritual healing within the mind, body and spirit. It is deep therapeutic, relaxing, grounding and deep tissue cleansing treatment, leaving you feeling completely chilled out!
Reiki is translated as ‘Universal Life-force Energy’. It is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive hands on healing technique. It uses spiritual energy to help treat physical ailments without using pressure, manipulation or massage. It is a holistic system for balancing, promoting natural healing and harmonising all aspects of the person – body, mind, emotions and spirit. It is a treatment for all and good for general relaxation, with the client remaining clothed.
MASSAGE IN SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
The Massage in Schools Programme (MISP) was created for school children aged 4-12 years. It can help in reducing children’s stress levels, aggression and bullying and is carried out in the school environment.
The clothed peer massage provides treatment to the back, head, arms and hands and is given by the children to each other. The massage takes between 10-15 minutes daily. Permission has to be sought from each other before receiving the massage and saying ‘thank you’ after. Parental permission is also required. Peer Massage also helps with inclusivity and promoting a happy environment within schools.
I am a Massage in Schools Instructor, so if you work in a primary school, nursery, children’s centre etc. and you would like your children to benefit from this programme, please get in touch.

Really glad Mandy was recommended to me, I have suffered from a bad back and shoulders for many years due to my profession. Mandy is very professional, caring and the treatment was carried out in a relaxed, confidential environment.
Superb massage, really helped with my lower back, highly recommended.
I was experiencing problems with my hamstrings due to running and read that massage would help. I started to go to Mandy and now continue on a regular basis and I can say I have not had a problem with my hamstrings since.
I have known Mandy Hart from 2004 and have had treatment on my back. I have been very pleased, it has helped a lot. My husband has had treatment now for many years and it helps his problems. She is very kind and fits us in to help when she can if we ring her for additional appointments.
I have been visiting Mandy on and off since 2011 when I was diagnosed with Arthritis in the neck. With regular massages I have managed to keep pain-free and reasonable movement of the neck. Recently I have been suffering from discomfort in the lower back & hip which we have put down to my work. While Mandy listens to my moans & groans about life, she eases out the pains in my body.
As a runner my fitness and wellbeing is very important to me. I sustained an injury which really affected my running. I tried other therapists with no improvement. A friend recommended Mandy and I’m so glad I went to see her. Her sports massage was wonderful! I felt so much better immediately! So much so, I’m going back this week! This weekend I ran 17 miles off road, something I couldn’t have done before the treatment. Thank you Mandy!
I can’t thank you enough for the treatment you gave me. Its so easy to take for granted the ease of movement. After your treatment I was able to move and bend down again, it was as if you gave me a new back. I will certainly be coming again and I have no issues in recommending you to everyone I know. Thanks again
